Irish Penal Reform Trust (IPRT) is the leading non-government,
independent voice in public debate on reform of the Irish penal
system. IPRT?s vision is to have a penal system that is humane,
evidence-led and that uses prison as a last resort.

ABOUT THE ROLE
IPRT is now seeking to recruit a driven, experienced Executive
Director who is committed to social equality and justice and who will
lead, manage, and direct IPRT, within the context of their current and
next Strategic Plan. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to
make an important and meaningful contribution to policies that tackle
social justice reform.
The Executive Director will be an integral part of IPRT?s growth and
development beyond **Apply on the website** and will be responsible
for the overall performance of the organisation in delivering on the
strategic objectives and for the day-to-day operation of the business
under the delegated authority of the Board of Directors. They will
inspire and convey IPRT?s mission and vision to a wide range of
stakeholders. They will have an understanding of public policy
development and will have the capacity to serve as national
spokesperson as well as demonstrating a commitment to social justice,
human rights and IPRT?s vision, mission and values.
To succeed in this role, you will have senior management experience in
the NGO, public, or a relevant private sector. It will be advantageous
but not essential, to have previous experience within a social
justice, criminal justice or general campaigning environment.
Knowledge of penal policy and/or prisoners? rights, or similar
transferable knowledge in a related area is also desirable.
